OSKAR AND THE THINGS | Puppet Theatre Performance

Organised by: Koncertzāle Cēsis

Duration: 1 h 30 min / 2 acts
Recommended for children aged 5+

Spending the summer at his grandmother’s countryside home feels like an eternity for Oskar. However, boredom is kept at bay by a wooden telephone he has made himself – a magical device that allows him to talk to things. Soon he discovers that his grandmother’s chair dreams of travelling around the world, a balloon caught in the tree branches flirts with the wind, a watering can longs for its cloud-parents, and a rubbish bin turns everything into songs. As Oskar gets to know the objects in his grandmother’s house, his summer transforms into a true adventure.

Oskar and the Things is a family-friendly story about the power of imagination, overcoming loneliness, growing up, friendship, saying goodbye, and the miracles that happen when we are ready to truly listen to one another.
