Part One of this heartfelt Christmas concert will present a newly written piece by Kaspars Zemītis, ‘Waiting for the Light’ ‒ an Advent cycle for expanded boys’ choir and electric guitar. The cycle opens and closes with the ‘O Salutaris’ prayer of St Thomas Aquinas, followed by Advent- and Christmas- spirited musical compositions set to poems by Normunds Beļskis. Part Two of the programme features pieces by English Renaissance composers.
