Federico Albanese is a genre-defying Italian musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who will appear on stage solo, creating a rich and expansive instrumental soundscape. His musical versatility is a natural gift that invites listeners to explore his work in all its forms.

Albanese’s cinematic instrumental compositions blend contemporary classical music, pop, and electronic ambient textures, immediately captivating audiences with their airy, meditative beauty. The concert will feature works such as A Story Yet To Be Told and The Prince and the Emperor, in which the piano whispers ancient stories, accompanied by strings, subtle percussion, and the fertile silence between notes.

His sonic language connects the classical with the modern, tradition with sensual experience – as if Brian Eno were to meet Erik Satie in an Italian forest at sunset.

The concert in Cēsis is part of the tour for Albanese’s new album Blackbirds and the Sun of October.

The AMBIENTE STAGE concert series at Cēsis Concert Hall is defined by unconventional musical exploration and a distinctive, almost magical atmosphere created by emerging and charismatic artists. The experience is further enhanced by an unusual stage setup positioned in the centre of the hall, bringing performers into close proximity with the audience.
